Katie Jane is a soulful singer and pianist whose original music contains a sound that transcends generations and genres. Her passion for vocal expression and natural talent has become evident with each new song Katie has written. Katie Jane has been making music as long as she can remember and has picked up many instruments along her musical development including flute, drums and guitar.
The unique sound and songwriting of Katie Jane has been compared to that of Sarah McLachlan, The Cardigans, Portishead and Eddie Brickell and the New Bohemians.Throughout the last few years Katie Jane has performed with a five piece band and also as a soloist. The full band consists of guitar player,Joe Menegus, Rudy Flores on the drums, and Andrew Lozono on bass.
Katie Jane has also collaborated with many other musicians, singers and producers in and around Northern California. Her voice has been featured in the album, Chasing Silhouettes, by an acoustic folk rock band called 2me. Most recently Katie Jane has recorded piano and keys for David Fletcher on his latest album, Lunchbox Cowboy.
